Through the charitable efforts of the Build & Serve Committee, AGC has been supporting our local Marines by demonstrating a strong team representation in the MCRD Bootcamp Challenge. TEAM AGC typically is comprised of 300-350 AGC members/friends/family participating in this exhilarating, fast & furious race. It is a day filled with company camaraderie, team building, networking, and personal challenge.
The Bootcamp Challenge is a 3-mile obstacle course on the Marine Corps base which MCRD opens to the public on this one day. The race is situated through a course of paved roads and hard-packed dirt - flat and fast. There are over 40 obstacles, including hay jumps, tunnel crawls, log hurdles, 6 ft wall, trenches, cargo net crawls, and push up stations. USMC Drill Instructors provide "encouragement" at each station to make sure you've completed your obstacles.
AGC has been, and continues to be, one of the title sponsors for this fleet week community-wide event. MCRD provides TEAM AGC a private fenced VIP area, furnishes us with pre-fuel refreshments, beverages, plus post-race beer. AGC is also assigned its own start wave time! It is a invigorating morning, and AGC members look forward to participating in this event each year.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION
The early bird price is $40 until May 31st, so if you and your company plan on participating, please don't delay and sign up TODAY! After May 31st, the registration price increases to $50. The proceeds from your registration go toward supporting our Military Heroes! Last year, AGC contributed $12,000 to the Marine Corps Community Services, which provides essential programs for the Marines and their families.
