Deirdre Kingsbury

Evans Kingsbury LLP


Deirdre is a trial lawyer and an experienced family law practitioner with more than 30 years of trial and negotiation experience. She is a Sonoma County native and a partner of Evans Kingsbury LLP. She attended the University of California at Davis as a Regents’ Scholar. She received her B.A. degree in Psychology summa cum laude in 1978 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Ms. Kingsbury earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubble®. 

Deirdre’s current practice focuses on litigating and resolving disputes involving divorces and child custody, probate and trust matters, real estate matters, and appeals. Deirdre has won cases involving child custody “move away” orders, fraudulent transfer, quiet title/easement, and probate matters.

Deirdre currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Sonoma County Bar Association and Sonoma County Women in Law, and is the current vice-chair of  SCBA’s Family Law Steering Committee.

Nicole Umemoto-Snyder

Carroll Law Office


Nicole Umemoto-Snyder is a member of the California State Bar and Sonoma County Bar Association. Nicole practices in all areas of family law including child custody and visitation, dissolution of marriage, property division, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and post-judgment modifications. She has exclusively practiced family law since becoming a member of the bar. Nicole joined Carroll Law Office in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for several reputable family law firms in Sonoma County. Nicole is a thoughtful and dedicated advocate to her clients.


During law school Nicole worked as a Certified Law Clerk for Department of Child Support Services. This position enabled her to gain valuable experience in the courtroom while attending law school. By the time she had graduated from law school, she had already made hundreds of court appearances.


She is a sitting member of the Sonoma County Bar Education Committee and Rules and Practices Committee.


Nicole lives in Sonoma County with her husband daughter. Outside of work enjoys spending time with her family, hiking with her dog, and enjoying all that Sonoma County has to offer.
