Montgomery Community College's
Workforce Development Center
Who Are We?
Montgomery Community College's Workforce Development Center is where innovation, empowerment, and resources unite to assist the great people of Montgomery County and beyond. We specialize in offering short term training courses that not only allow a person to enter into a new career, but the specialized training to help them advance in their career. We aid current and future small business owners with the right tools and resources to not only achieve their goals, but exceed them.

We offer financial resources to help individuals thrive in school and on the job. We are on the receiving end when the local industry needs specialized training or a qualified employee. In addition to injecting the workforce with talented workers, we offer opportunities for personal growth through our unique programming that allows people to just have fun! Much like a financial advisor, we are with you every step of the way.
Leadership Montgomery Is Back!
Committed to the advancement of Montgomery County through the development of its most important resource: its leaders.
Leadership Montgomery is a program of discovery committed to the advancement of Montgomery County through the development of its most important resource: its leaders. Through a series of day-long "adventures", participants will explore various facets of Montgomery County operations. They will meet the people behind the operations and learn how each contributes to the success of the county. The program provides many opportunities for networking and broadening participants' scope of knowledge, support, and influence. Upon completion, Leadership Montgomery participants will have enriched their experience as leaders, expanded their knowledge of Montgomery County and its various assets, and established professional affiliations that can assist them in their role as leaders in Montgomery County.

Leadership Montgomery seeks men and women who have achieved or are working to achieve leadership positions within our community or in their profession. Individuals may choose to enroll themselves or may be sponsored by an employer. Some scholarships are available to cover partial costs for the program.

The cost of the program is $175 and includes:
  • Orientation
  • Seven, day-long leadership sessions
  • Transportation
  • Lunch on session days
  • Graduation ceremony & reception

Leadership Montgomery participants will meet once a month beginning in September with an orientation held at Montgomery Community College.

Most day-long sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and transportation is provided to each destination from a central meeting point.

Pottery Student Represents MCC at Art Exhibition
The MCC Pottery program is pleased to share that student Hayat Zerhoudi was chosen to represent Montgomery Community College in the 2021 Student Art Exhibition hosted by Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Hayat has been a pleasure to have in the program. She has been working hard to perfect her lidded forms and we think she nailed it with this lidded server. Lightweight, thoughtfully placed handles, excellent lid fit, and clean glaze application. This full-bellied server will be the shining star at Hayat's next family gathering.

Click the orange button below to check out the entire show, featuring a range of student work from Community Colleges across the state.
