MAY 2024 NEWSLETTER

Hello, fellow Chapter members,

What a fantastic start to our 2024 season.

I am thrilled to inform you that our raffle during the Kickoff Dinner generated $640 for our charities, and the auction generated a donation of $870 toward our Chapter. There is very little more to say about our Kickoff Dinner, except thank you again to all who made the evening so special, including our Sponsors – Midas, The Grounds Guys of Carytown, and Commonwealth Medicare Advisers. What a way to celebrate the start to our Chapter’s 20th season!

The Board would like to acknowledge that we heard your concerns that evening regarding the availability of tee times. Genny Bush, our Golf Events Director, has asked courses to add tee times whenever possible, including those associated with our Mystery Bus trip. Although she has made these calls, I encourage you to register for golf events that interest you as soon as registrations open. Mark the registration open dates on your calendar. Do not procrastinate!

Golf aside, the Flying Squirrels local baseball team has invited our Chapter to attend their game versus the Harrisburg Senators on Thursday, July 11th at The Diamond to celebrate Women & Girls in Sport Night. (We will cancel our Evening League that night so all can attend.) Tickets are $10; $4 of which will be donated back to our Chapter. Please plan to join us for a very fun evening. Invite your family and friends! Details and a registration link can be found in this newsletter.

See you on the course!

More Tee Times for 2024:

Sign Up when Events Open!

Good News! I was able to add an additional tee time to many of the upcoming week-end events so we should be able to accommodate everyone. But, please don't delay in registering. And don't hesitate to sign up for the wait list as invariably, something comes up with late cancellations.  Our website has the open registration dates in green when you click on the "Register Here for all chapter events".

Due to high interest, our Mystery Bus Adventure will now accommodate 40 players.

We were able to get an additional 2 tee times.  Registrations open May 1st.

Don't miss the fun!!

For those players who are also members of golf clubs/courses on our event list, please let me know in advance if you wish to play as I will manually add you on to the roster. You do not have to pay the LPGA Amateur cost for that course. If there is a charge to you by your course, you can settle any costs with them directly. My contact info is 804-928-4638 or geebee8101@gmail.com.

Promote Your Business In The
LPGA Amateurs Member Marketplace

You may be wondering why we are focused on promoting the LPGA Amateurs Member Marketplace? It is simple…the more offers that are listed in the Member Marketplace the more benefits are available for all members AND for those members who own their own business the Member Marketplace is another opportunity to provide a benefit from the LPGA Amateur Golf Association.

Businesses that add a benefit to the LPGA Amateurs Member Marketplace will receive marketing to all 13,000+ LPGA Amateurs members through the Marketplace at NO charge! Benefits can be listed either in your local Chapter area or as Association-wide benefits.  Both golf and non-golf related businesses can list their benefits, the only requirement is that the benefit is specific for the LPGA Amateurs membership.

It is simple to sign up!

If you need more information about the program, then please contact Liz Cooper at liz.cooper@lpga.com. If you are ready to register your business, please click on the link below. Please make sure our chapter is selected as the referring Chapter!
