Announcing New Elementary Curricula
Curriculum adoptions in MUSD are exciting and newsworthy to share! At the April 2022 Board of Education meeting, the Board unanimously approved a new Physical Education (PE) curriculum for grades K-8, and a new Science curriculum for grades K-5.

ā€œManteca Unified places great value in providing the most up-to-date and relevant curricula to ensure students are provided an elevated and innovative learning experience. By providing new materials that fit this criterion, the District is preparing students to meet current industry standards and become global leaders.ā€ — Jenni Andrews, Executive Director of Elementary Education

Announcing the new principal of Mossdale Elementary School, Mr. Anthony Chapman!

As Mossdale’ s current principal Ms. Susan Sanders transitions to a role at the District Office prior to retirement, Mr. Anthony Chapman has been named Mossdale’ s new school administrator!

A product of MUSD, Mr. Chapman is a Sierra High School graduate who was present for inauguration day upon Sierra’s opening in 1994. He began his career almost 18 years ago as a Spanish teacher and coach, and has served in many roles including, but not limited to, Activities Director, Athletic Director, Vice Principal, Assistant Principal and Summer Learning Institute Principal. Each role has afforded him new opportunities for growth and widened his perspective on education.

Mr. Chapman is the proud father of twin daughters Abigail and Alexandra, who are finishing their sophomore year of high school, and a son, AJ, who is finishing 8th grade. As he takes this next step in his career, he is truly grateful for the support of his best friend and partner in crime – his wife, Erika.

ā€œI am beyond excited and extremely humbled to be named Principal of Mossdale Elementary School. Nearly 20 years ago, I entered the education field because of my passion for kids and for learning. It is my desire to help cultivate a love of learning in the students and staff I oversee, and to advocate that we can always strive to improve and grow. At its core, elementary education sets the stage for students to form the building blocks of what it means to be a lifelong learner, so I am grateful for the trust of MUSD’s Board of Education and District leadership as they appoint me to support this goal. I am ready to serve the Mossdale community, and the Lathrop community at large, and am eager to roll up my sleeves and get to work!ā€
