Footfall in Luton town centre

Footfall in Luton town centre during the first seven months of 2016 is up by 3.7% compared to the same time period last year.

The town centre saw a 5.6% footfall increase during the week commencing 1st August compared to the same week in 2015.

This was assisted by several events in the town including Luton BID's Food and Drink Trail, the fairground in St George's Square and children's activities in The Mall and Central Library.

Luton town centre's 3.7% increase in footfall compares favourably to trends seen across the UK where footfall is generally on average down -2% in 2016 against 2015 (Jan - July).
