A royal visit to Luton town centre, Christmas planning, street cleaning and free business promotional opportunities ...
Luton town centre to host royal visit

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Luton for a day of engagements tomorrow (24th August).

The day will begin with a visit to town centre based Youthscape - a national hub for innovation in youth work, with  areas for therapeutic and informal work with young people, and also room to train youth workers and professionals from across the UK.

After their tour of the building and introduction to Youthscape, The Duke and Duchess will leave the town centre to visit other organisations in Luton, including CHUMS, a mental health and emotional wellbeing service for children and young people, and Keech Hospice Care.

Street cleaning

Luton BID is committed to cleaning up Luton town centre and on 30th August a team will be deep cleaning Park Street (in the BID area) and St Mary's Road. This is part of our monthly, targeted cleaning.

To complement these clean-ups we will be holding another Tidy Day on Thursday, 15th September from 8am to 10am. We are seeking businesses to join us. If you are interested please email our BID Manager Fergus:  info@lutonbid.org
Christmas planning

We are already getting in the festive mood in the Luton BID office, with the team now planning a fabulous Christmas campaign.

Part of this will be our Golden Ticket promotion, a free prize draw with gift vouchers and prizes for the winners. We will be dotting six Golden Ticket post boxes around Luton town centre and encouraging shoppers to hand post their entries to be in with a  chance of be ing a winner.

If you would like to be considered to host a post box in your business or have a suggestion for a prime location please email us at info@lutonbid.org.
Hair, beauty and body art

Following on from the success of our recent food and drink directory (pictured here) we are now planning an exclusive directory to promote health, beauty and body art businesses based in Luton town centre.

We are also planning a two page feature for the Luton on Sunday newspaper which will showcase these businesses. Both are due to be published in November 2016.

If you are a locally based health, beauty or body art business and are interested in benefiting from this free promotion please contact our BID Manager Fergus by emailing  info@lutonbid.org

We will then get back in touch with you in September with more details.
