Tidy Day and Glutton Machine launch

Cigarette butts and chewing gum are set to be blitzed from Luton town centre streets thanks to the Glutton vacuuming machine, launched by Luton town centre BID.

The machine is electric and uses a lengthy vacuuming nozzle to clear hard-to-reach pavement cracks and kerbsides.  Read the full story and see our Facebook album of photos HERE .

The BID's commitment to cleaning up Luton town centre continues this month, with our monthly clean-up days taking place on Monday and Tuesday in Gordon Street and Alma Street.

The BID is tackling different areas of the town centre each month, targeting areas most in need of a deep clean.

Are you an award winning business?

This Sunday, 25th September, at midnight is the closing date for the Bedfordshire Business Awards entries.

If you are proud of your business then please enter the BID sponsored 'Luton Town Centre Business of the Year' category. You can do this by clicking HERE.

Safer Neighbourhoods - get involved

The BID is holding two Safer Neighbourhood Days in October, when each of our three BID Ambassadors will be joined by a Police Officer and visit businesses to talk about business crime intelligence sharing and to offer crime prevention advice.

The safer neighbourhood days will take place on Tuesday 4th October from 1pm to 5pm and Wednesday 5th October, from 9am to 1pm.
