New PCSOs for Luton town centre and work to promote food and drink businesses ... welcome to this week's edition of our Luton BID news.
New PCSOs for Luton town centre

Whilst delighted to hear the Police Crime Commissioner talk about new policing, Luton BID has concerns about the new hub not being in place until December. For that reason we are now offering to fund two dedicated town centre Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) until December 2016.

The BID believes that this will increase police presence in the town centre in the interim whilst the new policing system gets set up. Investing in these PCSOs is part of the BID's determination to achieve one of its key objectives: to provide a safe, attractive and appealing experience for visitors and workers in Luton town. As soon as we know more we will update you.
Our town centre Food and Drink Trail

Enjoy our one day food and drink trail this Saturday, 6th August. Select restaurants and cafes are offering reduced prices, free tasters and money off vouchers and our BID Ambassadors will be handing out specially designed leaflets to shoppers in the lead up to the event and on the day itself.

Promoting our food and drink businesses

As part of our commitment to promoting businesses in Luton town centre and to tie in with our August Food and Drink Trail, we ran this spotlight feature in the Luton on Sunday newspaper.
