Luton BID scoops top award
Luton Business Improvement District (BID) was awarded 'Environmental Achievement of the Year' at this year's Luton's Best Awards for helping to make Luton town centre cleaner and tidier.
Luton's Best Awards honour the outstanding achievements of individuals, groups and organisations in the town, and the BID was put forward for its Tidy Days initiative which sees volunteers from town centre businesses join together during regular two-hour clean ups over the year.

Bedfordshire Business Awards
Congratulations to Aviva Health and Beauty who were named Luton Town Centre Business of the Year - the BID-sponsored category at the Bedfordshire Business Awards.

The BID is pleased to be supporting the University of Bedfordshire's Graduate Work Placement programme.

Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday is a national campaign which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to 'shop local' to support small businesses in their communities.
It's taking place on Saturday 2nd December and Luton BID is planning lots of
#smallbizsatuk social media activity with pictures of town centre businesses.

Santa in Luton
Our next Luton BID-funded festive highlight will take place this Saturday, 2nd December, when Santa will visit the town centre.
Along with Mrs Claus, his performing elves and other entertainers, Santa will wander through the town centre from 11am to 3pm, meeting and greeting shoppers and their families.
This event is part of Luton BID's free Christmas entertainment - more details on what else is planned HERE.
Lighting up Luton
Mike the Knight and Evie entertaining crowds at the switch-on
We were delighted to work with Luton Borough Council again this year to add an extra element of surprise to Luton's Christmas lights switch-on.
People flocked to the town centre on Saturday to see Mike the Knight & Evie make personal appearances in the lead-up to Lighting up Luton.
The BID arranged the character appearances as part of our wider Christmas programme to bringmore people into the town centre.
