The 2024 NYS Tourism Excellence Awards Nominations portal closed on Saturday, May 25, to celebrate the end of National Travel & Tourism Week. We want to thank everyone for taking the time to nominate an organization, leader, partner, or colleague deserving of recognition! Recipients for this year's awards will be notified on/before Friday, June 28. We hope to see you in Saratoga Springs this September 11-13 to celebrate this year's recipients with a special ceremony!

  • Parks & Trails New York (PTNY) needs your help getting the Empire State Trail Detour Requirement Bill (A8274A) passed this session! This legislation would ensure that a safe detour route is established and posted any time there is a temporary closure of the Empire State Trail. Call and send a message to your legislators

Erie Canalway Photo Contest - Call for Entries!

As the NYS Canal System opens for the season, the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor is calling for entries for its annual Erie Canalway Photo Contest. Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit up to three images that capture the canals’ beauty, vibrancy, and character. Winning photos will be featured in the 2025 Bicentennial Erie Canalway Calendar.

Lake George Region's Restaurant Week Returns in June with New Culinary Delights

Get ready for the return of the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB's bi-annual Restaurant Week celebration, happening from Sunday, June 9 through Saturday, June 15. This event features specially crafted three-course menus for $35 at participating restaurants, showcasing the region's culinary talents. Now in its 18th edition, this event highlights the area's local gastronomy.
