[Ludlow Village Bridge 57 Removal & Pedestrian Bridge Installation Project]

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Pleasant Street at the junction of Pleasant Street and Mill Street is closed to all vehicle traffic to facilitate project construction. A detour is in place that routes vehicle traffic from Pleasant Street along Elm Street, Main Street, and Pleasant Street Extension. 


Pleasant Street is open for bicycle and pedestrian traffic via a signed temporary path. 


CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Throughout the week, during daytime hours, crews will be removing the deck debris containment platform from the existing bridge and will perform concrete patching surface repairs at both abutments.

 

Crews will begin work on the drilled micropiles at Abutment 1 on Pleasant Street. Neighboring properties can expect to hear a fair amount of noise during drilling activities.

 

Crews will be de-energizing select power lines above Abutment 1 on Pleasant Street. No power outages are expected for nearby properties to complete this work. 



LOCATION: Bridge 57 is situated on Mill Street over the Black River with Main Street to the north and Pleasant Street to the south in Ludlow, VT.
