Geotechnical Borings Public Notice  

As the design for the Louisiana International Terminal moves forward, you will see more activity on the site within the coming weeks. Starting March 27, Eustis Engineering will be conducting geotechnical exploration/testing. This exploration will be performed in accordance with Permit No. MVN-2021-00270-EG issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). 

Specifically, through the geotechnical borings, we will be gathering information on the underground soil conditions of the proposed project site. Field crews can be identified by their Eustis Engineering safety vests. Any issues can be directed to Eustis's point of contact, Patrick Thurmond, at (504) 210-3170, or Port of New Orleans Community Engagement Manager, Kylie Mills, at (504) 528-3227. 

Please note these assessments are to better understand the existing conditions of the site and do not signal construction.  

LIT Online Open House the

Did you miss our LIT open house series earlier this month? Don’t worry. Our online open house is now available through March 31! Click below for an interactive online open house experience.

We recognize the importance of sharing information with the St. Bernard Parish community. Although nearly 150 people joined us in Violet, Chalmette, and St. Bernard, we understand that not everyone could attend the in-person open houses we hosted on March 7, 8, and 9. That’s why we’ve created an online version of the events with the same information we presented in person. If you did attend the events in March, please pass the link along to someone you know who could not. 

The Louisiana International Terminal project is in the two-to-three-year federal permitting process. We will continue to work with our neighbors to deliver a project that brings opportunity for St. Bernard families and businesses and protects the local quality of life.
