Medicare Annual Open Enrollment October 15, 2023 - December 7, 2023

Loudoun County Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) Medicare Counseling Program can help you compare your current plan with other plans.

What is the Medicare Annual Open Enrollment Period?

During this time period, you can:

  • Switch from one Medicare Part D (Drug) Plan to another Medicare Part D Plan.

  • Change from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan if you have both Medicare Part A and Part B.

  • Change from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another Medicare Advantage Plan.

  • Join a Medicare Part D Drug Plan or Medicare Advantage Plan.

See if there is a plan that will save you money in 2024!

How do I know if I need to change plans?

Medicare Health and Drug Plan makes changes each year. Watch the mail for your plan's Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). The ANOC provides a summary of any changes in your plan's costs and coverage that will take effect on January 1, 2024.

If your plan is changing, make sure it will still meet your needs for 2024. If you are satisfied with your current plan, you don't need to make any changes!

Where can I get information about next year's Medicare plans?

Information for the 2024 plans will be available beginning in October 2023.

Where can I find Medicare plan information or compare plans?

Call 1-800-MEDICARE or online at Medicare.gov.
