River of Lights: Fisherman's Park invites the entire family to enjoy the River of Lights, lining Bastrop's June Hill Papa River Walk. Lights will come on November 25, 2022 through January 2, 2023.

Fisherman's Park Gingerbread House: Each year a Gingerbread House is placed in Fisherman's Park for community groups, school organizations, and other organizations to sell baked goods, hot chocolate, and other holiday items during the Holiday Season. Programming of the gingerbread house will begin Friday, November 25th through January 1, 2023. To sign up, click here.

Letters to Santa: Santa's elves have been busy building an official mailbox at Bastrop County Museum and Visitor's Center at 904 Main Street! Between November 25th and December 24th. Children can drop letters into Santa's Mailbox which will be expedited to the North Pole.

Wassail Fest - (11:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Holiday Shoppers and visitors are invited for our Sixth Annual Wassail Fest! Homemade hot mulled cider will be served throughout downtown, and visitors will vote on their favorite recipe for the People's Choice Award. A Polka Band will provide festive music in front of the Museum & Visitor Center. The event is held in conjunction with American Express's Small Business Saturday.

Christmas Tree Lighting - (6:00 PM- 7:00 PM) Feel the Christmas Spirt come alive with the City of Bastrop Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Fisherman’s Park along our River of Lights. Come enjoy the lighting of the City’s Christmas tree, a special visit from Santa Claus, and carols from BISD Elementary School Choirs.

"A Country Christmas" at the Farm Street Opry - (5:30 PM – 10:00 PM) Come celebrate "A Country Christmas" at the Farm Street Opry at the Bastrop Convention Center. You'll enjoy family-friendly musical performances featuring local Texas talent and special guest performers. Doors open at 5:30 PM and the show starts at 7:00 PM, with a special guest appearance by Santa himself.

A Christmas Chaos- (December 2nd - December 18th) Head over to the Bastrop Opera House between December 2nd and December 18th to watch "A Christmas Chaos." When a professional theatre company gets stranded across the country, it’s up to a rag-tag group of local theatre people to throw together their own version of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol and chaos and laughter abound. Holiday Homes Tour - (noon – 5:00 PM) Head to downtown Bastrop for one of the most wonderful times of the year! For more than 40 years, the Holiday Homes tour has showcased Bastrop’s historic past by opening the doors to our town’s most beautiful homes and this year will be no different.

Lost Pines Christmas Festival - (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Join us at Downtown Bastrop’s Lost Pines Christmas Festival. This year's event will feature fun for the entire family. Capture the holiday spirit by taking photos in a life-sized snow globe. Our Downtown businesses will compete in a Holdiay Decorating Contest. There will be caroling, cocoa, letters to Santa, oversized games, and more!

The Lighted Christmas Parade - (6:00 PM- 8:00 PM) Don’t miss more than 125 entries- from fanciful floats to fire trucks, unicycles to vintage cars, dancing Honey Bears to dignitaries, from Santa’s helpers to the big man himself- will light up the Main Street night for this annual parade. Produced by the City of Bastrop this joyful Bastrop tradition literally lights up the Bastrop Lost Pines Christmas festivities. The parade begins at dusk (approximately 6:00 pm) and will head south down Main Street.

Lighted Bike Brigade - (6:00 PM- 8:30 PM) Join the Bastrop Recreation Program at the Lighted Christmas Parade. Illuminate your bike and ride alongside fellow community members in the Lighted Bike Brigade. To participate contact Terry Moore.
