TGP Happenings

Honoring a Life Well Lived

George Brightwell passed from this life on Tuesday, April 11, to join the chorus in Heaven. While so many of us who new George are mourning the passing of our friend and mentor, we are also grateful to have shared our lives with such an amazing man, youth advocate, inspirational leader and faithful servant.

George and his incredible wife Barbara have been longtime friends of The Georgetown Project. In fact, Barbara led the community planning initiative that created our organization 26 years ago. Many of the nonprofits serving children and youth in Georgetown have roots intertwined with George and Barbara. Words simply cannot express the impact they have had on our community. All of us at The Georgetown Project express our deepest sympathy to Barbara and the family.

Rising 1st through 3rd graders are invited to join us to learn Spanish through fun activities. All levels of Spanish are welcome, including beginners!
