Insights for Healthcare Leaders
Dear Healthcare Colleagues,

Happy New Year!

With the holiday season now behind us, I hope this first newsletter of the year finds you rested and ready to take on 2020!

I’m proud to present our first newsletter of the year, and invite you to not only take a moment to read it, but also to share with your colleagues.

We’ve recapped the many events and activities of 2019 and share the events we’ll be participating in, this coming year. Events in which we’d welcome your participation and involvement.

2020 is already lining up to be a busy yet rewarding year for HCEG, and we’re excited to share it all with you!

Until the next newsletter,

Executive Director
The HealthCare Executive Group (HCEG)
Looking Back at 2019 & Forward Through 2020

Healthcare Innovation & Transformation
Last year was a busy year for the HealthCare Executive Group. In addition to hosting our 31st Annual Forum in our birthplace of Boston, Massachusetts, we hosted two Executive Leadership Roundtables , presented the CIO & CTO Strategy Track at the 16th Annual World Health Care Congress , delivered seven webinars in conjunction with our sponsoring partners , published 35 blog posts addressing challenges, issues, and opportunities facing healthcare leadership, and presented sessions at major healthcare conferences.

Moreover, in 2019 HCEG became an Educational Partner with America’s Health Insurance Plans ( AHIP ) and a Non-Profit Partner and HIMSS20 Collaborator with the Health Information Management Systems Society ( HIMSS .)

For more on the value HCEG has delivered to healthcare executives, innovators, and change-makers in 2019, and an overview of what can be expected in 2020 and beyond, check out this new blog post .
Healthcare Info, Insight, & Ideas – 2019 Webinars & Blog Posts
One of the ways the HealthCare Executive Group offers value to the healthcare industry is aimed squarely at its health plans roots - and to forward-thinking, still emerging health systems and ‘FFS-based providers’ aimed at becoming ‘value-based, risk-bearing providers.’ One of the ways we do this is via the creation, curation, and distribution of information, insight, and ideas via our Webinar Series Events and blog posts.

Check out this blog post listing webinars and more popular blog posts presented by the HealthCare Executive Group in 2019.

Recapping 2019 AHIP Consumer Experience & Digital Health Forum
The 2019 AHIP Consumer Experience & Digital Health Forum centered on the importance of the healthcare consumer experience and various approaches for leveraging digital health platforms and tools to affect an improved consumer experience.

In case you missed them in the end of year holiday rush, check out the following blog posts including audio recordings:

500+ healthcare industry professionals gathered in Chicago at the  2019 AHIP Consumer Experience & Digital Health Forum to present and discuss the importance of the healthcare consumer experience and various approaches to leveraging digital health platforms and tools to effect an improved consumer experience.
Industry leaders, innovators and change-makers shared their thoughts and ideas on the critical role new innovations in technology will play in prevention (of accidents & disease) among the fastest-growing demographic—aging Boomers joining original Medicare and Medicare Advantage programs at the rate of 10,000 new beneficiaries a day.
As costs continue to rise, more financial responsibility is shifted to individuals, and non-traditional companies disrupt the traditional healthcare space, executives and industry leaders are under tremendous pressure to transform their organizations due to the challenge of providing coverage for healthcare services offering reasonable outcomes at a fair price.
