Cynthia Roberts Benton recently joined Methodist Services / Methodist Home for Children as Vice President & CFO. Cynthia brings over 20+ years of business experience in nonprofit accounting and reporting, finance, strategic planning and operations. In her role as VP & CFO, Cynthia manages the overall financial operations of Methodist, ensuring compliance of required financial and audit regulations, as well as the utilization of industry standards and best practices in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Prior to joining Methodist, Cynthia worked for the Fairmount Park Conservancy as the Chief Financial & Operating Officer where she was responsible for providing strategic and financial leadership for the Conservancy’s numerous building and restoration projects.
In addition to her work at Methodist Services, Cynthia is very active in her church and sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. Additionally, Cynthia is the co-owner of Denise’s Delicacies, a popular, minority-owned, full-service bakery in North Philadelphia. Besides her nonprofit work and civic involvement, Cynthia enjoys traveling abroad, spending time with family and has an appreciation for the arts.

My desire to use my financial and strategic acumen to support meaning and impactful opportunities and change for people made Methodist a great fit for me.”
