What a blast! Methodist Services’ 2024 Community Schools - Summer Splash Fest featured food, music, resources & raffles! Over 150 students & families from Gideon, Gompers, Overbrook Education Center & Tilden Schools joined Methodist Services’ staff & case managers. It's already July! Please support Methodist Services' School Uniforms Mini-Campaign. A standard uniform set will cost $75 per child or $100 per teenager. From Heritage Farm - Farm Manager, Ryan Curran:

"More food is flowing from Heritage Farm, these days. It’s easy to fully stock a mini market for parents & children at our summer camp, each week. Planting, harvesting & weeding continues like clockwork. This week, we were happy to receive assistance from helpful staff here at Methodist. Back in April, we planted roughly 3,500 onions and needed help removing them from the field. After the harvest, these onions will be set in a greenhouse with adequate sunlight & airflow to help dry & cure their skins. Afterwards, they will be put into cold storage, then last through the winter (if they’re not all eaten!). Not everything is perfect on the farm. Groundhogs continue to be an issue. Hopefully they will leave some watermelons for us!
