The Board of Directors is thrilled that Kathrine Martin has assumed the President & CEO position. Her 21 years with the agency speaks for itself. In addition to providing dedicated service, Kathrine has been invited, continuously, to assume new leadership roles with progressively more responsibility. Initially specializing in Educational leadership, she currently has a comprehensive, holistic understanding of the organization. Over the past several years, Katie has worked closely with financial leadership to set Methodist Home for Children System on a stable fiscal path that will enable us to continue to be a preeminent social service agency in the City of Philadelphia.”

- Bill Hill, Methodist Home for Children Board of Directors Chair

"It has been an absolute pleasure being part of the Executive Management Team at Methodist for the past 20 years. I am honored and excited to continue my leadership role at Methodist as President & CEO. It is inspiring to be surrounded by a dedicated Board of Directors, talented staff and quality programming. I look forward to leading Methodist with grace and grit, as new opportunities continue to provide fundamental community services through Education, Case Management, Housing and Counseling. Methodist holds a very special place in my heart. As President & CEO, I look forward to showcasing our rich history and helping to enact an extraordinarily promising future.”

- Kathrine Martin, Methodist Services/MHC President & CEO

Galentine’s Day was planned and hosted by Monument Village’s Family Services Specialists to show appreciation for our clients. Each resident received a chocolate covered rose plus a delicious lunch, then shared “what love means” to them. Celebrating Galentine's Day reminds us we’re all “better together!"

Big Shout Out to 62 donors who raised $5,500 for Methodist Services' “Get On The Bus" GoFundMe Campaign! During this Black History Month trip to DC, 55 Philly students and adult chaperones from Gideon, Gompers, Overbrook & Tilden Schools travelled to the National Museum of African American History & Culture. Here is what some students had to say:

“My favorite exhibit at the museum was the Afrofuturism.” - Ronald

“Methodist has made this trip memorable! I have never been to DC before!” - Ujakura

One of several events planned by Methodist Services’ Staff Events & Engagement Committee to connect & de-stress, “Painting With A Methodist Twist” was a rousing success! Over 35 staff from Main Campus & Bangor created masterpieces, enjoyed soft pretzels and mocktails. Committee members hope staff will experience a heightened sense of inclusion and well-being throughout the Methodist community.

From Heritage Farm - Farm Manager, Ryan Curran:

"March includes time spent in the greenhouse, seeding flats for all the vegetables to come this season. It's also the time to prune our orchard trees to promote airflow and discourage disease. The growing season will start slowly but as the fields dry out, we can begin to prep them for planting, come April."
