Although most of our supported races are very tight and could go either way, we are supporting a couple of races that many people have called "longshots." Well these longshots are starting to make their arrogant incumbent opponents very, very nervous as our candidates vastly exceed every expectation.

Charlotte Bergmann made waves this week when 3rd Quarter Fundraising reports revealed that Charlotte had raised $113,074 from individual donors, outraising Steve Cohen's individual donations by $75,000! Cohen supplemented his fundraising with his typical paycheck from labor unions and the Congressional Black Caucus (ironic, isn't it?).

Further shaking up Cohen was this news article in the Commerical Appeal that suggests that Republican turnout in Memphis early voting has been staggering. During the primary 55 of the top 60 Shelby County precincts had more Republican voters than Democrats. This has prompted Cohen to put out an urgent get-out-the-vote message as this "sure thing" election could be slipping through his fingers.

Charlote Bergmann can win, but it will take every ounce of help from true patriots like you. Their campaign is planning a big door-to-door effort this Saturday at 9am and again Sunday at 1pm. Get to Memphis and help them out. Marsha Blackburn is coming to help on Tuesday. They are also blitzing the airwaves with television and radio ads. Make a contribution to the Bergmann campaign and help them get more ads on the air.
