Lake Barrington Shores Opens Sponsorship Opportunities for Fall/Winter 2024 Events

Lake Barrington Shores is offering sponsorship opportunities for its upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 event lineup. Local businesses can sponsor events such as the New Neighbor Mixer, Bonfire on the Beach, and Breakfast with Santa, among others. Sponsorships include special recognition, the opportunity to promote your business, and inclusion in event marketing materials. D220 Upcoming Referendum Community Information Meetings

More than 2,500 community members collaborated throughout 2024 on a plan to address facility needs at Barrington 220 Schools. The final $64M community-driven plan will go to voters for approval as a referendum question on this November election ballot. South Barrington Seeks Community Input on Conservancy Master Plan

The Village of South Barrington is continuing to develop a Conservancy Master Plan, inviting residents to contribute their ideas on enhancing the local nature preserve. At a recent public meeting, idea boards were unveiled, showcasing potential uses for the Conservancy, including an outdoor amphitheater and a migratory bird watching sanctuary. Residents who missed the meeting can attend the next one on September 25th at 7 p.m. or submit their thoughts via email, as the Village aims to create a space that the entire community can enjoy.

Labor Day Live Music at 3D Sideouts: 90s Dance Party, Sunblind, and Deja Vu!

3D Sideouts Sports Tavern will celebrate Labor Day weekend with live outdoor performances starting with Fool House’s Ultimate 90s Dance Party on Friday, August 30. On Saturday, August 31, Sunblind will perform, followed by Deja Vu on Sunday, September 1. All shows are for guests aged 21 and over, with stage-view table seating available for reservation. Parker Players Theater Company Continues "Stage the Build" Campaign to Construct Community Theater in Barrington

Parker Players Theater Company is continuing its "Stage the Build" campaign, aiming to construct a state-of-the-art theater in Barrington. To date, $550,000 has been raised toward a $1 million matching challenge offered by Todd and Libby Rieke and Kim Duchossois. The campaign seeks an additional $450,000 to begin transforming the current venue into a fully functioning black box theater, which will serve as a creative hub for the Barrington area community.

Route 14 Underpass Project Website Launched, Updates and Renderings Now Available

The Village of Barrington has launched a dedicated website, for the U.S. Route 14 Grade Separation project, providing the latest updates and project renderings. As tree removals pave the way for upcoming utility relocations by ComEd, Nicor, and Verizon, construction is set to begin later this year. Fully funded and supported by multiple agencies, this initiative promises transformative changes to the Route 14 area.

Raue Center's Mission Imagination Program Returns for New Season, Inspires Young Audiences

Buehler YMCA to Host Golf Night Out Benefiting Scholarship Fund

The Buehler YMCA will hold its annual Golf Night Out on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 6:00 -9:00 p.m. at Topgolf in Schaumburg. This event aims to support the YMCA's Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance for essential community programs such as childcare, summer camps, and swim lessons. Individual tickets are available for $125, which includes dinner, unlimited drinks, access to childcare services, contest participation, and three hours of Topgolf. Volunteers Needed for Mid Mod Barrington Home Tour Saturday, October 19

Bacoa, in partnership with the Barrington Cultural Commission and Stephanie Walker of Compass Real Estate, is seeking volunteers for the 10-house Mid Mod Barrington Home Tour, showcasing mid-century modern architecture on Saturday, October 19. Volunteers are needed to assist with tasks such as staffing the homes, setup, check-in, and post-event teardown. As a thank you, volunteers can tour other properties before or after their shifts. Single Tickets on Sale for Elgin Symphony Orchestra’s 75th Anniversary Season

Single tickets for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra’s 75th anniversary season are now available, with the season opener on September 28 and 29. Williams Street Repertory Presents Tony Award-Winning "Avenue Q"

Williams Street Repertory will stage the Tony Award-winning musical "Avenue Q" at Raue Center For The Arts from September 13 to October 20, 2024.
