Vet2Vet Coffee Hour

Fridays, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

*PLEASE NOTE: There is no coffee hour on May 3*

Organized in collaboration with Vet2Vet of Ulster County and the Hudson Valley Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR), this Veteran Coffee Hour aims to provide a safe and welcoming space for veterans to connect, share experiences, and find support. Whether recently discharged or a seasoned veteran, all are welcome to attend and engage in meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee.

Registration is not required. Walk-ins welcome.

Local History Trivia Night at Brix

Wednesday, May 8, 6:00pm

(Doors open at 5:30pm)

Join us on Wednesday, May 8 for the Marlboro Library’s Local History Trivia Night hosted by Brix Gastropub! Organized by the Marlboro Library, this is an entertaining night for the community! Test your knowledge of our town with a range of super easy to nearly impossible questions and a few in-between. Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event. The winning team will receive a gift card to Brix, which can be used any time.

Please note: Attendees are encouraged to arrive when doors open for the event at 5:30pm to get settled and place any orders. Trivia will begin at 6:00pm.

To be notified of updates or cancellations, RSVP for this event at marlborolibrary.org. An RSVP with the Library does not constitute a reservation at Brix.

Table reservations can be made by calling Brix at 845-236-9981. Tables are first-come, first-serve.

MFL Hook & Needle

Knitting & Crocheting Group

Select Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

May 13, Jun. 10 & 24

The Library will be holding an informal meetup every 2nd and 4th Monday (unless otherwise noted), from 6:30-7:30pm, where knitting and crocheting enthusiasts can come together, socialize, share tips, and work on projects together.

Please keep in mind that while this meetup will provide a supportive space for knitting and crocheting, it will be self-led, and guided instructions and supplies will not be provided at this time. Walk-ins welcome.

AARP Driver Safety Courses

Saturday, June 22, 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 10, 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The Marlboro Free Library and AARP are pleased to offer two opportunities to take an AARP Driver Safety Course, this summer at the Library, on June 22nd and August 10th, from 10:00am-4:30pm. Registration is pre-paid, in-person ONLY, at the Library. Check or money order only, payable to AARP. Credit/debit cards cannot be accepted. The charge for the course is $25 for AARP members and $30 for non-members.

Please arrive at 10:00 a.m. to sign in, collect course materials, and select a seat. The course starts promptly at 10:30 a.m. Participants will not be permitted to enter after the start of the course as per DMV mandate.

Please bring: your own lunch, driver’s license, AARP member card (if applicable), and a pen. Class size is limited to 25 participants. 

Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accommodated if class is filled.

Ulster County Sheriff K-9 Demonstration

Saturday, May 18, 11:00–11:45 a.m.

For families of all ages. Weather permitting.

Where: Library's side lawn (adjacent to side parking lot)


Meet Deputy Josh Caliendo & K-9 Kwin! Deputy Caliendo & K-9 Kwin will demonstrate the skills of a K-9 team & why they are essential to law enforcement.
