"The doctors refuse to do anything to help her. They insisted on keeping her in the institution, where they neglected her. When I complained, they stopped me from visiting. Now, thanks to Chernobyl Children International, we can keep her with us at home."

Liza receives a raft of therapy through CCI's Community Care programme helping Liza to relax, reducing her discomfort. "Liza's seizures are greatly reduced and she is a much happier child".

Children like 4 year old Liza need round the clock care. The burden on their parents of keeping them out of grim institutions is enormous.  But we make that possible despite the severity of their disabilities. These are some of the most vulnerable children in the world. 

Each child is simply that, a child, a human soul, waiting for life with an innocence that many of us have forgotten.
