The Academy

The Academy consists of 12 courses, taught and recorded by Pastors Eibel and Malinak, in which participants, through facilitated discussion, are equipped as missionaries to bring a solid, theological defense of faith with confidence. In the first course, Sacraments and Solas, Pastor Malinak will lay the Biblical groundwork for how one is saved and how God sustains one in faith. Topics: “Baptism”, Communion”, “Grace Alone”, “Faith Alone”, Word Alone.”

Read through the Bible—This summer, June 1 through August 31, we will once again read through the entire Bible! Participants will receive a reading plan that takes them through scripture in three months. There will be monthly opportunities scheduled to share with one another an update in this journey. Whether you are in Texas all summer or traveling, you can participate! Sign up online.

Life Experienced Event

Life Experienced will be going to lunch on Sunday, April 21st after church at Cafe Italia on Northwest Hwy. That's just a few blocks from the church. We will have a private room and hope you will be able to join us. Please sign-up at mylwlc.com no later than April 18th.

Mid-Cities Class

Mid-Cities Pregnancy Center will teach a class on “How to Talk to Your Kids About Sex” for parents of kids of all ages on April 21 & 28 from 6:30-7:30pm at church. There will be a potluck at 6pm.     

Wednesday Night Alive Carnival

May 15th, 5:30-7:00 PM

All youth and families are invited to a night of fun, food, and fellowship. A

picnic supper will start things off. Come join the fun!

   Vacation Bible School

Scuba-Diving Into Friendship with God

June 2-6 5:30-8:15 PM

All kids (ages 2-5th grade) are invited! We start off with a family meal from 5:30-6pm. Then, stick around to enjoy a fun, exciting, interactive evening full of games, music, stories, crafts & more! We will need lots of volunteers too! Sign up in the extended narthex of click here to sign up.  

Sunday Youth Night

Sunday Night Alive (grades 6-12) meets from 6:15-8:30 pm with dinner, games, confirmation/devotional time, and open gym. 

 Apartment Outreach & Dove Park Grill Outreach

Apartment Outreach- April 20th, 5-7pm. We will meet at Marina Del Rey Apartments in Grapevine.  Set up is at 4pm. We will have bounce houses, pizza, prize drawings and yard games! Needs: hand out pizza, oversee the bouncy houses, check in guests, start up conversations with those who are attending, set up and tear down. This is a way to build community and reach out with the love of Christ.

Dove Park Grill Outreach-May 4th, 3:30 pm. We will meet in the parking lot at Dove Park. We will cook burgers and serv chips and water to those at the park. This is a way to provide a meal to our neighbors and a chance to pray for and share the Gospel.

Volunteer Opportunity

We are putting a team together to help Keep Grapevine Beautiful at the Botanical Gardens from 10am-1pm on April 20th. Volunteers are needed to assist at craft tables, bounce house and other fun activities. Your family can volunteer together. Contact Steve if you are interested steve@lwlc.com. 

Everyday Missionary Course

Join us for a five session course on becoming an everyday missionary. Learn to recognize where Jesus is already at work in your neighborhoods and workplaces, and gain the tools to join Him on His mission to reach the lost. Date, time and frequency of the sessions will be determined by the schedules of the participants. Led by Steve Burke. Chicago, IL “My Father’s Business” Youth Ministry. Leave DFW on a Thursday night. Fly to Chicago and attend the Friday night event at My Father's Business. Return to DFW on Saturday afternoon. Dates TBD. Cost: $100 per person and cover your own meals.

Men’s trip to San Antonio, TX “Hebrews 4:22”. Light construction

projects at a half-way house and ministering to the residents with a BBQ

dinner. Thursday - Saturday. Dates TBD. Cost: $50 per person and cover your meals.

Belton, TX “Hilltop Recovery” (Fall 2024 - Dates TBD). Leave Thursday evening- return Saturday evening. Deliver benches made by Craftsmen for Christ, and assemble and stain two picnic tables. Could also include some yard work and moving of boxes. Cost: $75 per family and cover you own meals.

Men’s Mission Trip: Arkansas. Sept. 27-29 (Doing local

mission work in connection with an LCMC Church in Rogers Arkansas; post prison ministry, homeless ministry). Cost: $50 per person and cover your own meals. 

Young People Weekend Mission Trip: October 2024 - Dates TBD (Mission OKC working with families and children in poverty-stricken area of Oklahoma City: Serving meals, playing games, teaching Bible stories.) Cost: $50 per person and cover your own meals.

This fall, 2024, Love One Another Preschool will be adding a class for 2-year-olds! Enrollment for this class, along with the 3 and 4-year-old classes has begun. Share this good news with friends and family so we can keep sharing the Good News in our community. Tuition free!
