The Living Cultures Grant seeks to sustain and strengthen traditional arts in the state of California with $5,000 grants to individual artists/culture bearers and $12,500 grants to California-based nonprofits and Tribal Nations, as well as other organizations and community groups who work with fiscal sponsors.

Program Manager
Hybrid Remote in the San Francisco Bay Area

ACTA, one of the nation’s leading traditional arts nonprofit organizations, seeks to hire a full-time, exempt Program Manager based out of its San Francisco office at the famed Presidio. Program Managers work in teams to implement ACTA’s range of programs throughout the state. The Bay Area-based Program Manager will be the lead manager of ACTA’s statewide Apprenticeship Program, working with a program team on the Living Cultures Program and the Traditional Arts Roundtable Series, among other duties.

This Program Manager works in close collaboration with the program team working throughout the state. The position will combine remote work with onsite and in person presence connecting and building relationships with artists, cultural organizations and funders in the Bay Area and statewide.

ACTA’s salaries are benchmarked to Fair Pay California Nonprofits and provide excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $65,580 - $87,500.

Digital Media Specialist
Remote in California

Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA), one of the nation’s leading traditional arts nonprofit organizations, seeks to hire a part-time Digital Media Specialist (20 hrs/week). This is a remote position based in California. The Digital Media Specialist will work in tandem with the Media Director in the implementation of ACTA’s Communications and Media department. The Digital Media Specialist will assist in the development of all print and digital media work. This work content focuses on fieldwork-based documentation, research, public programming, and outreach.

ACTA’s pay rates are benchmarked to Fair Pay California Nonprofits and provide excellent benefits. The pay rate for this position is $35.58/hour - $39.42/hour dependent on experience (hourly rate based on an FTE annual salary of $74,000-$82,000).

IT/Administrative Specialist
Hybrid Remote in Fresno

Alliance for California Traditional Arts (ACTA), one of the nation’s leading traditional arts nonprofit organizations, seeks to hire an IT/Administrative Specialist based in Fresno, CA. This full-time, non-exempt role provides a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days required in office. The IT/Administrative Specialist plays an essential role across ACTA’s statewide operations. This blended position improves and maintains the organization’s IT systems, provides technical support for users, and provides specialized administrative and operations support. This role will facilitate bringing ACTA’s administrative systems into the 21st century and moving the organization toward an entirely digital administrative operation.

ACTA’s salaries are benchmarked to Fair Pay California Nonprofits and provide excellent benefits. The pay range for this position is $26.68 - $35.34/ hour depending on experience (equivalent to $55,500-$73,500 per year).
