Literaturnaia gazeta
was
established in 1929, changing its title to
Literatura i iskusstvo
from 1942-1944. It was the newspaper of record for the Union of Soviet Writers of the USSR as an official authority for the nature and direction of Soviet arts.
Offered here is a near complete bound run of these titles from 1931-1945. To the best of our knowledge, this group represents the largest accumulation in the United States of these titles and for this period.
