While you fundraise for Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, you will earn cool swag such as a 2023 Strides 4 Sight t-shirt.

As an added bonus for Districts 18-O and 18N: Every dollar your Lions Club raises, through Strides 4 Sight, will count toward the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation tele-optometry clinic visiting a location in your district. It costs $2,000 per clinic.

Connecting with Lions at the upcoming District Conventions

Beth Ehrhardt, Executive Director and Fran Schefer, Senior Director, Development & Lion Liaison will be packing up the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation van and taking some road trips this spring! They plan to attend all four MD-18 District Conventions starting with District 18N this Saturday March 4, 2023. Beth and Fran are excited to share updates on key initiatives and have engaging conversations with Lions one-on-one at our table exhibit.

These conventions create such wonderful opportunities to build relationships with Lions Clubs across the State. We're anxious to share what the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation is doing to further empower Lions to extend the delivery of our mission while serving their communities…stay tuned for more.

Bring Glasses and Some Wine!

We’re referring to donated eyeglasses for our recycling center and a bottle of wine to support a Wine Pull organized by the Snellville Lions Club! The Wine Pull event will occur at the MD-18 State Convention in May with a fundraising goal of $2,000 to benefit Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation (GLLF). Please bring a bottle of wine valued at $20 or above to the District Convention. GLLF will collect the wine for the special fundraiser occurring at the State Convention May 19-20.

Please feel free to call GLLF Board District Director, Harold Walker at 404.367.2126 or Fran Schefer at 404.325.3630 x313 for more details. Thank you in advance.

LIONS SPOTLIGHT

A Pride of Lions in the House!

On February 9, Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation hosted members of the Hephzibah Lions Club and their guests for a tour of the Chamblee clinic. We were most honored to have Tony and Jerry Winters, and Janet Winters Wells, siblings of our late GLLF Board Chair, Jon Winters in attendance.

Everyone appreciated the chance to see all the brick dedications in our Garden especially those paying tribute to Jon Winters, his family members and his Lions Club, Hephzibah.

Toward the end of their visit, Hephzibah Lions President Billy Carroll, proudly presented a $1,000 check from his Club to help advance the mission of the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation (Billy is pictured on the far right with Fran Schefer and Beth Ehrhardt of GLLF left and center, respectfully).

We are so very grateful to the Hephzibah Lions for their generosity and support of the Lighthouse. We invite other Lion Club’s to pay us a visit to help raise awareness for the vision services we provide through your support.
