Support and Resources During the Crisis in the Middle East
In response to the horrific conflict taking place in the Middle East, we are aware that many Lexington residents have close and strong connections to the region. Human Services Department social workers are ready to assist residents with ties to the region who are experiencing distress, anxiety, or disruption.
Those in need of support may contact the Human Services Department at 781-698-4840 or humanservicesoffice@lexingtonma.gov.
Human Services has also put together a list of resources to help people through this difficult time.

New Traffic Pattern at Marrett and Kendall
Morning entry onto Kendall Road from Marrett Road is restricted from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, except for school buses.
This intersection has had several accidents during morning commute hours when students are present. The new restriction simplifies the intersection during those hours and reduces the potential for collisions.

Be a Part of the Process:
Serve on a Town Committee
| |
We're looking to fill vacancies on a number of boards/committees.
Whether you're interested in community preservation, human rights, trees, housing, or tourism, serving on a Town board/committee is a great way to:
- Get involved in the community
- Meet your neighbors
- Share your expertise
- Help make decisions that make Lexington a great place to live, work, and visit
The volunteer committees in Lexington are vital to the delivery of Town programs and services. They provide a rich source of knowledge and expertise, expand the town's ability to research issues and best practices, and enhance the communication between residents, Town staff, and elected officials.
We're always looking for volunteers, both to fill vacancies as they occur and to put on our list of potential volunteers for future vacancies.

Proposed FY2024 Water and Wastewater Rates

Rates are proposed to increase 5.0% on a combined basis, reflecting a 5.7% increase in water rates and a 4.6% increase in wastewater rates. This rate increase will translate to approximately $49.00 for the average household in FY2024.
Proposed rates are based on budgeted expenses and the Town’s estimated water consumption and wastewater flow for Fiscal Year 2024. If approved, updated rates will be reflected in the Town’s upcoming billing cycle.
