Overnight Construction Operations on I-95 Start Oct. 23
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be performing overnight construction operations on I-95 (Route 128) at the Route 2A overpass in Lexington, beginning on Monday, October 23. The lane closures will begin at 8:30 PM each night and continue until 5:00 AM the following morning.
The work is expected to take two weeks to complete. Lane closures will vary nightly to allow crews to safely shift traffic to the right to allow access to the median for bridge reconstruction operations.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.

Transform Your Yard & Protect Our Waters with a Rain Garden
When rain falls onto roads, parking lots, rooftops, and other paved surfaces that do not allow rain to soak into the ground, it becomes stormwater runoff. Stormwater runoff poses a significant threat to the environment, as it carries pollutants like trash, oil, and fertilizers into our streams and rivers.
Stormwater runoff is the leading cause of pollution in urban streams!
Rain gardens are crucial in protecting our waterways from these pollutants. While beautifying the landscape, rain gardens also maintain functionality, incorporating native plants and attracting local wildlife — a win-win!
