LINK TO HOPE NEWSLETTER
Kentucky CancerLink is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce and/or eliminate barriers to screening, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. We work alongside Kentuckians in need of life-saving cancer screenings or in need of support while on a cancer journey. We strive to be a link to hope...
Greetings from the Executive Director
Hi Friends,

Summer is HERE!

We are very busy at KCL with survivor events and other opportunities to work with partners. We have also been staying busy serving Kentucky cancer patients.

Make sure to watch the most recent Link to Hope segment through WKYT (link below) as a wonderful gal, Lindsay, is highlighted talking about our patient services and how we helped her get a wig as she faces the battle of her life. She is such a sweet spirit and we are so fortunate to know her! She was campaign manager to the late Representative Lamin Swann, who I went to high school with, and we recently lost too soon. He was very kind and he always wanted to do the best for Kentucky. He'll be greatly missed.

Make sure to check into our Links to Hope Golf Scramble - Tuesday, September 19 at Keene Trace Golf Club, Keene Run Course. We have opportunities for players, teams, and sponsors. There is also an opportunity to sponsor a hole sign ($250) to advertise your business or celebrate/honor a loved one who is experiencing or has been on a cancer journey. This is a way that we work to personalize our event and allow for us to remember the work that we do.

I am thankful for you - and I appreciate you following along with our mission. Together we can be a link to hope to our friends and neighbors in Kentucky as they experience a cancer diagnosis.

Cheers!

Melissa

Cheeseburger Sliders

This is a great recipe the whole family will love. It's kid friendly and will appeal to even the pickiest eater. It serves as a delicious main course or would work great as an appetizer too. You can use substitutions and variations to suit your taste.

Healthy Potato Wedges

French fries and cheeseburgers go together like peanut butter & jelly and this healthier version is a must try. This recipe includes air fryer instructions, but you can also bake in the oven too. If you've got potatoes in your kitchen, you're ready to try this recipe using simple, fresh ingredients with tons of flavor. Serve with aioli dipping sauce for a real treat.

Truffle Aioli

Using a mayonnaise base, this super simple recipe, with just a few ingredients, takes any dish to a whole new level. It's great used as a dipping sauce for potato wedges, asparagus, or green beans or top your chicken, steak, or vegetables to add lots of delicious flavor.
