All month long you can support Newton Community Pride and the Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts by visiting Baramor, 45 Union Street, Newton Centre throughout JulyBaramor will be donating $3.00 to NCP every time you order one of their select craft beer "charity pours". And don’t forget to join us on the Baramor patio July 19th from 6:00 - 8:00pm to kick off the Festival of the Arts with live music, specialty cocktails, and raffle drawings from local businesses.  Hope to see you there! 

Event is FREE, but advanced registration is suggested for spacing purposes.

It is finally July, which means The Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts is just a few weeks away! Celebrate with your neighbors and friends and enjoy local and regional talented performers, bands, and more. There will be 12+ performances held at the Hyde Playground on two alternating stages, over 2 days for 1 fantastic music and art-filled weekend! All festival performances are free and open for all to enjoy.


Now in its 8th year, the Festival of the Arts spans many facets of arts and culture including several genres of music from bluegrass to baroque, soul to funk and pop to jazz. Click here to see the full weekend schedule and learn more about the artists.

New Philharmonia Pops Concert with Kemp Harris

Friday, July 21, 6:30pm, Hyde Playground


Newton Community Pride welcomes New Philharmonia Orchestra and special guest, Kemp Harris for a fun Pops Concert! Followed by an Instrument Petting Zoo and screening of E.T.


The Timba Messengers

Saturday, July 22, 6pm, Hyde Playground


A Boston based Latin Jazz/Salsa band that has generated a compelling music style that inspires all to shed their daily troubles and revel in the joy of dance. Their live performances are infused with vibrant energy, radiating positivity and good cheer to all in attendance.



Tema Siegel and Couch

Saturday, July 22 at 8pm, Hyde Playground


Newton’s own Tema Siegel and her rising star band, Couch is back in town. After touring throughout the country NCP is lucky that she has time to make a stop at our Festival.

Help Support Your Community

Come join us at the Festival of the Arts on July 22nd and make a difference in the lives of those in need by donating unopened and unexpired cereal boxes or bags to the Newton Food Pantry and Centre Street Food Pantry Cereal Drive! Your contributions will go a long way in helping those in our community. Donations can be dropped off between 11:00am and 6:00pm. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

The festival is produced by Newton resident, Christopher Pitts, presented by The Village Bank, and supported by local businesses, individual donations, and community grant support from the Newton Cultural Council and Eversource. Thank you all!

Join our team! Do you love music festivals, public art & familiar with Canva, Salesforce & social media platforms? Newton Community Pride would love to hear from you. NCP is hiring for a Part Time Program and Communications Associate. The position involves flexible day time home/office work and a laptop will be provided.
