Dear Congregation Mishkan Or,

We are proud to introduce you to wonderful learning programs for this upcoming year.

We've chosen the name Limmud: Learning with Mishkan Or. Limmud sounds like 'lee-mood' and in Hebrew conveys engaged learning. The new name represents a shared commitment to connection, growth and Jewish knowledge. We've brought forward the best of our legacy programs and present many familiar options, along with new choices.

Follow the link below for complete descriptions of learning opportunities and contact information to seek more info about each offering. Also, please join us on Sunday, Aug. 25, 3 pm for the Limmud Learning Open House for students Pre-K to 12th, and their families. This will take place an hour before the Congregation Mishkan Or Garden Party and Activity Fair that begins at 4 pm (see below).

During the Limmud Learning Open House, we will introduce you to a year ahead of learning, building community, and engaging programming!

YAHRZEIT REMEMBRANCE

In the Shabbat handout distributed to worshipers and honored with reverence below, we honor cherished people who died in past years for whom perpetual yahrzeit was arranged for their anniversary of death, by Congregation Mishkan Or, Fairmount Temple, or The Temple-Tifereth Israel.

Aug. 9/10: Perpetual Yahrzeits

Aug. 16/17: Perpetual Yahrzeits

During worship if you wish for clergy to speak aloud the name of someone for whom Shabbat is a yahrzeit, reach out in advance by email to Cyndi Wilson or call 216-831-3233. You may also ask a name to be read for yahrzeit or for a recent death by completing a notecard onsite. One of our ushers will bring those names to clergy to be honored.
