Rowayton Light Up - 11/29 - 5:30
Sad that we can't gather at Pinkney Park this Sunday at dusk to "Light Up Rowayton"? The RCA braintrust has an idea!

Join the entire town in lighting up your property with festive lights at 5:30pm sharp this Sunday, November 29th. Bang pots and pans in merriment as we ring in the holiday season as we usually do in Pinkney Park.

The RCA will be lighting up Pinkney Park and town at the same time and our friends from Rowayton Fire Department will be sounding the fire truck horn at 5:30pm sharp to trigger the lighting. Listen for the horn at 5:30pm sharp!

Wait - there is more! We've also arranged for drone footage to capture the whole town lighting up from above!

Spread the word, encourage your neighbors and street to do the same, and listen for the fire truck horn at 5:30pm on Sunday!
Toy Drive - 11/29
The Rowayton Fire Department will collect toys for children, Sunday, November 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. The volunteer fire department has been collecting toys for nearly 20 years. In recent years, they’ve collected over 300 toys, books and gift cards each holiday season.

Members request that residents bring new, unwrapped toys or other gifts appropriate for children age 4 to 13 to the Fire House, 136 Rowayton Avenue. Gift cards to Walmart, Best Buy, PC Richards and Dicks Sports are especially appreciated.

The donations will be delivered to the Carver Center in South Norwalk and distributed at their virtual holiday party to be held on December 11th.

For those unable to get to the Fire Department on Sunday, gifts can also be left on the front porch of 6 Vincent Place until December 1st.

Please support your community and shop local! This holiday season, downtown Rowayton will be transformed into a delightful walkable shopping experience from Pinkney Park down Rowayton Avenue to the Art Center. In the Park, Seaside Delights will feature beach-themed apparel, art, and unique gifts plus all your favorite Roadie cups. On weekends beginning Black Friday up until Christmas, the Raymond Boathouse will host one-of-a-kind vendors in a socially distanced setting, two vendors per day. 11 - 4 pm. And the RAC Gallery will be filled with original, hand-crafted works by local artists for their annual holiday gift show: small ornaments and holiday-related items, plus cards, prints, and paintings. Shoppers and vendors are required to wear masks, and COVID protocol will be in place to limit the number of shoppers at one time. Curbside pick-up available. Come support local vendors and artisans and get in the holiday spirit!
