PRODUCING OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIFE SUCCESS

“Everyone can be great because everyone can serve. You don't have to have a college education to serve. You don't even have to make your subjects and verbs agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace.”

– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

OPPORTUNITIES IN THE COMMUNITY:

The Neighborhood Toolbox is back! Neighborhood Toolbox is a joint effort between the City’s Housing and Neighborhood Development Department (HND) and Lowe’s Home Improvement. HND staff created the program last year and Lowe’s donated the equipment and tools for lending.

“Often residents can’t make necessary home repairs or improvements simply due to the fact that they don’t have the equipment needed,” says Michelle Kennedy, HND director. “This program literally puts tools in the hands of neighborhoods that need them most.”

This tool-lending program is available for non-commercial purposes to people living within Greensboro city limits.
