IoL Register of data sharing issues (taxi and private hire licensing)
For some time now, we have been aware of issues arising where licensing authorities have not been given prompt and/or relevant information about hackney carriage and private hire licence applicants and holders meaning individuals retain or gain licences which may otherwise have been refused or revoked if the licensing authority had been aware of the information at the appropriate time.

In order to get a better idea of the scale of the issues, the IoL are asking licensing authorities to log instances using our online survey tool:

Consultations

The IoL will normally consult members via online survey or email to gather views on consultations.
