SAPL and the City of Santa Ana are proud to serve patrons of all sexualities, gender identities, and expressions, supporting a safe and inclusive environment for all.

This year, the summer reading program is going digital again beginning June 14 through August 14, 2021! The Library is using a new online platform called Beanstack to track your reading logs, host missions, prize drawings and more.

Celebrate forever freedom! Mark June 19th, 1865 as a day to acknowledge and celebrate the freedom of enslaved people in America. We will be providing this take and make craft, in recognition of reflecting, educating and understanding diversity in our communities or in America.

We are committed to raising awareness on the ongoing fight against racism. Mugs will be available during curbside pickup hours, starting June 14, 2021. Supplies are limited. No registration required.
The Santa Ana Public Library is proud to present Zany Zoe as we kick off our summer reading program! Audiences will be amazed by her charming and magical presentation that includes humor and comedy, but most importantly, her show will ignite imaginations and help children of all ages discover their magical creativity.

Juneteenth is the oldest known annual observance commemorating the abolishment of slavery in the United States of America. Make a take-and-make freedom beaded bracelet to join in the celebration.

Did you know that it wasn’t until two years after the Emancipation Proclamation that enslaved individuals in Texas were told of their freedom? Juneteenth is a Holiday which celebrates the day in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger announced the end of legalized slavery in the state! Join us for a special storytime with a story and songs to commemorate this joyful day!

Children and families are invited to pick up a Día Celebration Kit, this kit will include items to be used during the event and a ticket for exciting opportunity drawings! Starting Monday, March 1st, 2021, every Monday and Wednesday, the Friends of The Library (FOSAPL) will be setting up a free book cart accessible to the public who visit the library for curbside pickup.
