The Vista Grande Library's Chess Gathering is for players of all ages. (Children 13 years and under will need to be accompanied by an adult.)

Tuesdays from 10:00-10:30 a.m. is Preschool Age with a Craft. Toddler Playgroup to follow from 10:30-11:00 a.m. 



Vista Grande Library: 1556 N. Arizola Rd.

Wednesdays, Preschool Age from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and

Thursdays- Toddler Age from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Though each Storytime is geared towards the age group, all ages are welcome. 

Mark you calendars! Help your child prepare for Kindergarten and sign up for our popular Kinder-Prep Class. Children must be 4 or 5 years old by the start date of the class, March 15th. Registration opens February 12th at 8:00 a.m. and spots fill fast. Please do not call ahead to try and register.

Take us back to 1981 when these blue guys and gals were on many household televisions for Saturday morning cartoons! Join us at the Main Library for the Saturday Family Movie and Coloring Activity on Saturday, February 17th starting at 2:00 p.m. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and light snacks will be served at the beginning of the movie.    

Movie This Week

Come experience a different book discussion group filled with surprises and friendship. Each discussion takes place on a Monday (usually the first of the month) from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. at the Vista Grande Library.

Come join the Lunch Bunch Book Group on February 13th from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at the Main Library. Enjoy snacks and a lively book discussion! Farewell to Manzanar by James D. Houston & Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston

Local writers and current authors, this group meets twice a month on the first and third Thursday at the Vista Grande Library to peer critique works in progress as well as share information about getting published. Please bring up to 5 pages of a past or current piece of writing, double spaced, and a pen to critique.

Volunteers needed! The Central Lutheran Church Adult Community Education (ACE) Team offers general education tutoring and English as a second language (ESL) coaching. Volunteers work one-on-one or with small groups once or twice a week to help participants achieve personal development goals. If you would like to serve on the ACE Team, complete the VOLUNTEER INTEREST FORM available here:

Join us for our Genealogy Classes- Journey to Your Past. This month's presentation: Cemeteries are Not Just for the Dead: including care and cleaning, Find-A-Grave, BillionGraves, Obituaries , and Death Certificates. Class will be held on February 13th at the Vista Grande Library from 10:00-11:30 a.m. No registration required.
