Author  Luncheon a Success!
Our Author last Monday was GREAT!  Author Diane Les Becquets was an engaging and interesting author and fantastic speaker. We also enjoyed excellent food at Sea Dog Brewery and a wonderful turnout (37 people!) who all had an awesome time.  It was a great collaboration with White Birch Books, and thank you to everyone who attended!

Library Assistant Called to Wildfire Duty!
Our library assistant Megan got the great opportunity to fight wildfires in the midwest for 3 weeks and will be leaving us on Tuesday already to fly out to Missouri. Keep her in your thoughts for a safe journey!

This is not her first time as a firefighter, as you can see in this photo of Megan and her brother fighting fires out West! Shortly thereafter she will go back pursuing her career at the Forest Service.

 North Conway BOOK CLUB Reads...
BookClub
The North Conway Library's Book Group is reading "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Coast Trail" by Cheryl Strayed and will discuss it on Thursday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. at the library.

This is an open group. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you are a library member.

The Library Book Group reads both fiction and nonfiction and meets on the SECOND Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the library in North Conway Village.

About the book and the author:
At twenty-two, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life. With no experience or training, driven only by blind will, she would hike more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State-and she would do it alone.

Told with suspense and style, sparkling with warmth and humor,
Wild powerfully captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddened, strengthened, and ultimately healed her.
