Greetings!
Hello, change is in the air! I know that change isn’t always good. In fact, it can feel scary and disruptive (please see the notes on the season change in the Pose of the Month, or POM, section). But, in this case, this change, this new phase of O2 is really, really good. I have felt for a while that the system we have been using was not as clean, efficient, easy, and stress-free as I, and I am guessing you, have wanted. I mean, we are a yoga studio, and yoga, by it’s nature, should not be stressful! So, I went ahead and made the leap (another reference to the POM). This transition includes both our booking system (currently Mindbody) and our on-demand video rentals (currently Namastream, a.k.a. HeyMarvelous).
I will tell you that it has been incredibly stressful on my end. I mean, everything about the past few years seems to have been a struggle for me personally and professionally. But, as you all know, I am very persistent, stubborn, and intent on bringing my business, my life, and hopefully yours, more joy, more light, and more love. So, with that said, let’s leap into this new chapter of O2 Yoga together with a sense of adventure. I promise you that I will do everything in my power to make this as easy as possible, but that doesn’t mean there will not be hiccups. So, I need your help.

The Launch of Our New Website and Booking System
We will be launching our new website and booking system on Wednesday April 13th, which will have everything in one place: o2yoga.com. Don’t worry, all of your info will be migrated with the exception of your credit card details. That means, when the time comes, you will log into our new system using the same email that you used with Mindbody and will create a new password or use the one you already used for Mindbody, but that’s it! Your present class packages will be there and you will be able to go ahead and book classes! And, drum roll please, the class invitations/Zoom details will be automatically sent to you once when you register, and again right before class! Last minute additions will be no problem. You will be able to register right up until class time and the invitation will get sent to you right away!
Here is a list of steps to take to get started. You can do this starting on Wednesday, April 13th or later.

Go to O2yoga.com
- Click on the log-in button on the right above the class schedule.

Create your account using the same email address that you used for your Mindbody account. This is incredibly important if you have current class packages or memberships. This is how we will transfer you current account to the new one.
- Book a class!
- If you do not have an active class card or membership, you can purchase one right there after you register.
Other important details:

If you would like to keep a record of your past visits to O2, email us and we will send you a PDF.

If you go to book a class and your package or membership does not show up, just email us and we will fix it.
- If you have already booked classes through Mindbody for after April 13th, you will need to re-book them.
- If you presently use the Mindbody app for booking, it will not work after April 13th for O2 Yoga classes.
- We really want your feedback. You will be asked to review a class after you have taken it. Once you have done one review you will not be asked again, but can keep doing it! So, if you keep getting prompted for that first time, if you don’t mind, just do that first one. It can just be stars or more detail. Thank you!
On the updated O2yoga.com website, you will be able to register for classes, rent on-demand videos, sign up for unlimited access to our video library, read O2 news, and see info on specials, special events, and workshops all in one place!

End Date for Access to Namastream On-Demand Videos
If you use our prerecorded class platform, Namastream (a.k.a. HeyMarvelous), you will have access to any videos you have rented until Saturday, April 16th.
After that date, you will have the opportunity to rent brand new videos on our updated o2yoga.com website.

Free Class with Mimi This Saturday, April 16th and New Class Alert!
Free Class: Sign up for Basics at 8 a.m. this Saturday, April 16th and take the class for free. This class is free whether your are new to O2 Yoga, a long-time member, or somewhere in between! Please send this out to anyone you want to get involved in the O2 Yoga community.
New Class: Mimi will be teaching a 45-minute Basics on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. starting on April 18th.

Pose of the Month: Hanumanasana
Let’s leap into spring together!
The Story of Hanuman, the physical representation of Hanumanasana, can be linked to his ability to leap across huge distances, with a little help from his power of flight, inherited from his father Vayu, God of the Winds.
There are two things to work on (well, at least two) with this posture. The element of the leap or split and the element of wind. No matter what your natural constitution or nature, the change of the seasons causes disruption (wind) in our lives, bodies, and energetic systems. So, as we work on this complicated posture, let’s also work on finding gentle, soothing, warming, and steadying practices in our lives. What are the rituals that soothe you?
Oh, and the split part, well, the good news is that it is all about equal extension from front to back. It doesn’t have to be deep or intense. Like in the photo, I am doing a split!
