How to explore the art of Orangeville
Add an exploration of Orangeville’s public art to your March Break plans. One of our three self-guided tours can lead you to some of our most popular pieces.
The Top Ten Public Art Tour is the perfect introduction to Orangeville’s diverse range of artwork. During the one-hour route, you’ll drive and walk around Orangeville to visit the must-see pieces, as selected by art-loving community members. You'll begin at the Mantis Queen, a glorious seven-metre tall sculpture standing proudly at our Visitor Information Centre. She’s not the only creature you’ll encounter on this route – expect to see a dragon, dogs, cats, cows, a moose, and more along your way.
Two more tours invite you to stroll in and around our downtown area. On the western route, you’ll find a variety of installations as you walk through a scenic park and along an historic street. The eastern tour focuses on our popular tree sculptures. You’ll come across 13 pieces, including the regal Victorian Lady and the newly refurbished Conductor. Combine the tours for a full public art experience and be sure to make time to eat and shop along the way. Both tours start and end in downtown Orangeville, a destination all in itself.
