Apply: Nest Heritage Craft Prize - Women of the West

ο»ΏThe 2024 Heritage Craft Prize is open to women and non-binary makers from Western U.S. states, including Wyoming, Nevada, and California. Eligible crafts include sewing, beading, ceramics, metalworking, jewelry-making, woodworking, printmaking, and more. Submissions must be original, reflect cultural traditions, and include a narrative of cultural preservation. Previous winners are ineligible. Finalists must attend an event in Jackson, WY from September 11-14.

Deadline: Monday, August 5, 2024

Prize Amount: One winner - $25,000 and four semi-finalist - $2,500

Submit: POV Documentary Submissions

POV is seeking non-fiction films for its PBS series. Eligible works include completed features, short films (35 minutes or less), and rough cuts by invitation only. Films must be original, not broadcast nationally, and completed within the past four years. Films by independent filmmakers are encouraged.

Apply: Cross-Sector Impact Grants

South Arts’ Cross-Sector Impact Grants require two partners: one from the arts and one from a non-arts sector, both located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee. At least one partner must be a non-profit, government unit, or federally recognized tribal community with a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). Educational pre-schools and K-12 schools are excluded. The projects must demonstrate a strong partnership and focus on integrating arts with sectors like community revitalization, equity, or aging. A 1:2 match is required, and projects must be new or expand existing partnerships.

LOI Deadline: August 1, 2024 at 11:59PM EST

Grant Amount: Up to $15,000

Lakou NOU offers four artists of Haitian descent the chance to create and present new work in underserved Brooklyn neighborhoods with significant Haitian populations. Eligible artists will receive support to connect with local community assets, engage in professional development, and collaborate with neighborhood entities to address local issues through their art.
