LEONARDTOWN, MD - REGISTRATION OPEN

August 18, 2014 - Registration is Now Open for the 2nd Annual National Youth 5K Series - Leonardtown Race!

The stage is all set for another successful year in Leonardtown. The event will take place on November 16 at the Leonardtown Wharf, please note the time shift to 3:00pm.

Two hundred participants came out to our inaugural event last year to enjoy Leonardtown, a beautiful little town situated along the Breton Bay waterfront in Maryland's St. Mary's County. The foggy morning and backdrop of the wharf was the ideal setting to bring families together and make some inspiring memories.

Our Team Give Back program will be in place once again this year, .JPG below. Youth sports teams or schools are encouraged to organize themselves, sign up as a team, and show their spirit on race day. Many area schools are organizing run clinics in preparation for the race... be sure to use this team program and 10% of team race fees goes back to benefit your organization or school.

Online registration will be closing on November 5th so it's important to get in now and register early.

About the National Youth 5K Series

The National Youth 5K Series is a family-friendly youth running series that encourages children to be active and inspires them to learn to overcome obstacles in life. The series is produced and presented by Turning Point Sports and serves as the primary method of outreach and engagement for the Team Captain Kids Foundation through the 6-week prep clinics and classroom engagement through the School Series. All proceeds benefit the Team Captain Kids Foundation and other non-profit youth organizations found on our Partners page.
