BUDGET UPDATE – ECONOMIC FORECAST GOOD NEWS
As the conference committee begins work on finalizing the state operating budget (HB 110) for fiscal years 2022 and 2023, the conference committee received positive economic forecasts from both the Office of Budget and Management (OBM) and the Legislative Budget Office (LBO).

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BILL PASSES SENATE
The Ohio Senate unanimously passed Senate Bill 166; legislation that would provide incentives for businesses to offer work-based learning opportunities. The bill offers various opportunities to get more individuals into work-based learning.

CHAMBER PRIORITY BILL RECEIVES SECOND HEARING IN HOUSE
Early last week, Senate Bill 1 received its second hearing in the Ohio House Primary and Secondary Education Committee. The legislation would require each student graduating high school in Ohio to pass a course on financial literacy.
