In the second quarter of 2022, thanks to the community’s support, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation granted your not-for-profit hospitals more than $4 million in support of one program and six capital projects.

• Ventilators for Morton Plant and Mease Countryside Hospitals 
• LUCAS Training Device for Nursing Education
• Pediatric Mental Health Support
• Morton Plant Hospital Cardiac Rehab Telemetry

We are thrilled to kick off the 2022 Caring for Our Community Team Member Giving Campaign. To help launch the campaign, check out this year's music video, filmed with our team members throughout our hospitals.

Caring for Our Community celebrates a long-standing culture of teamwork and philanthropy at our hospitals and reaffirms our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our patients and community. During this Annual Giving Campaign, team members have the opportunity to give back to the Family Care Fund, Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation and/or the United Way.

33rd Annual Dr. George Morris Memorial Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation Golf Tournament

Presented by Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants and Superior Group of Companies

Proceeds from this event will benefit our Dr. George Morris Earn As You Learn Nursing Education Program. Since its creation, the program has contributed to the success of more than 800 nursing students. 

2023 Annual Meeting

Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation will hold its Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort to honor donors of all levels, celebrate our past successes and present the Distinguished Physician Leadership Awards. A special part of the evening is dedicated to the Golden Flame Philanthropy Award. Established in 1987, it is the Foundation’s most prestigious honor, given to community leaders who exemplify the spirit of philanthropy by their commitment to improving the health of the community.

When Going Back to School

It’s time to go back-to-school! Children across the Tampa Bay area are getting ready to hit the classroom for another academic year. 

With classroom learning, students can catch viral illnesses like common colds and flu, making them and others sick.

What You Need to Know About Monkeypox

Monkeypox, a rare disease first discovered in 1958, is quickly spreading in the United States and the Tampa Bay area.   

Monkeypox typically occurs in central and west African countries. Early this year, the virus began to spread outside of that region and cases were recently identified in Europe, U.S. and Australia. 

As the virus continues to spread across our community, here is what you should know about monkeypox prevention, signs, symptoms and treatment.
