Dream language, by the way, is a higher language and requires some level of working out in order to lay hold of its interpretation. That is why your dreams are commonly steeped in metaphors and symbols that are not readily understood rather than in plain language. How, then, can you extract a genuine spiritual interpretation from the hodgepodge of scenes and images that play out on the screen of your mind in the night? If you are going to minister or operate effectively out of a dream, a vision or some other kind of spiritual happening, there is a process attached to it.
When communicating prophetic revelation, even if it came to you through an extraordinary way, be sure to make the message plain and understandable to others. We should not speak so mystically or metaphorically that it goes above the heads of most people.
We are all going to make mistakes when it comes to prophetic revelation from time to time. We might interpret something incorrectly, prophesy before we have processed the revelation thoroughly enough, or flat-out get it wrong. If you want to have grace for your mistakes, then have a teachable spirit and maintain a posture of humility at all times. Be quick to apologize for your errors, but in this manner: If you said it privately and in error, correct it privately. If you said it publicly and in error, correct it publicly. Finally, make sure you put in place a mechanism for feedback and theological pushback if needed if you plan to grow in communicating prophetic revelation with impact.
