IAM's 40th Anniversary Concert

February 29th

Please join us for our 40th Anniversary concert on February 29th in Bo Thomas Auditorium at Blue Ridge Community College. We are excited to present Hendersonville Swing Band for a night of great music and celebration of all IAM has accomplished in its first 40 years.

We are honored to have Mark Warwick and Paige Posey, general managers and owners of WTZQ radio station, serve as the evening’s emcees. We are also looking forward to the entertaining musical remarks that Jerry Zink, leader of the Hendersonville Swing Band, is sure to offer!

Refreshments will be served during a 10-minute intermission midway through the concert.

Tickets are available online at www.iam-hc.org (see link below) or at the IAM Thrift Store at 119 Jack Street, Tuesday - Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All proceeds go directly to IAM. This is a wonderful way to support IAM's mission AND enjoy a delightful night of music. Buy your tickets today and join us on February 29th!

The Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday, February 11

Again this year, IAM is proud to partner with tacklehunger.org in the Souper Bowl of Caring.

We are grateful to the churches, faith congregations and local organizations who have donated food and dollars to IAM in the past! With food prices continuing to run historically high, these donations help IAM feed the needs of the children and adults in our community who hurt from hunger.

Mobilizing grassroots resources, the Souper Bowl of Caring movement has created over $193 million worth of support that stays completely local.

Learn how you can partner with IAM in this wonderful act of caring and community at www.iam-hc.org/souper-bowl. Thank you!

Welcome Russ and Darrien!

Please help IAM welcome Russ Layson as our new Food Pantry Associate!

Russ will help keep the pantry well-stocked and organized as we continue to experience an unprecedented demand for food assistance from our neighbors in need. “The environment at IAM is awesome. Everyone is super nice, and the work is rewarding because we really are helping people.”

Welcome, Russ!

Please help us welcome Darrien Scott as our newest driver making deliveries to our Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) participants.

Darrien particularly enjoys the chance to connect personally with our neighbors in need. “My job makes me feel good because I know that I'm making a difference out here.” Darrien also enjoys working with his fellow IAM Pantry staff members. “I'm definitely a team player and I love the team I'm playing on right now!”

Welcome, Darrien!

IAM Mobile Pantry February Schedule

IAM’s Mobile Pantry has been serving our neighbors throughout Henderson County for over one year now and it has been a huge success in the fight against food insecurity in our community!

In 2023, the IAM Mobile Pantry traveled to various locations over 50 times. During those visits, we served over 2,850 families with nutritious food for a week for each member of the household.

Offering traditional and Latino foods, IAM’s Mobile Pantry serves neighbors who are unable to visit our pantry at 310 Freeman St. in person.

Thank You K-Kids!

We are extremely grateful to the Kiwanis Kids from Hillandale Elementary and Glenn C. Marlow who organized clothing and food drives for donation to IAM. The K-Kids from Hillandale donated 10 bags of clothing and the students at Marlow brought 655 pounds of food!

We are honored and humbled by the example of so many caring students in our community. Thank you to all the students, teachers, and staff who worked so hard to help our neighbors in need!

Your 2023 Impact. Thank you!

In 2023, IAM served our neighbors in need over 80,000 times with food assistance, clothing, and/or financial assistance. Together with our generous donors and supporters, we were able to help individuals and families stay healthier, safer, warmer, and in their homes.

Thank you to everyone who makes our mission possible!

Donate Clothing at Flat Rock Cinema

We are excited to announce that Flat Rock Cinema is accepting donations to help our neighbors in great need in its lobby throughout February. Drop off your donations in the bin in the lobby and enjoy another great movie at Flat Rock Cinema!

We are grateful to Flat Rock Cinema owner Bryan Byrd for his support of IAM and the basic crisis services we provide free of charge to local residents experiencing a temporary or ongoing financial crisis. Thank you for helping us lift up our community, Bryan!
