Late Leaf Fall Delays Final Clean-Up

It has been a "normally" different fall. There is no normal, just average. October was extremely dry and warm and when the rain finally started, it stayed warm for a few weeks. The cold snap we received in the middle of November made it appear that we were going to get back to seasonal temperatures but that was relatively short lived and our daily temperature has been mostly above average. This has delayed the "normal" leaf drop schedule and delayed our ability to finish clean-up at many sites. Last and this week have been great as most leaves are down now and the effects of our efforts are lasting. We apologize about this delay and hope you have not been impacted by this late fall leaf drop.

The warmer than normal weather has also kept lawns growing and the continual rain has made it impossible to mow. We always work around the weather this time of year, trying to catch a dry week to do our final mowing. The current forecast for heavy rain this week puts that out a ways. We will get the shaggy sites mowed again as Mother Nature allows. Stay tuned.
