The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce is committed to the continued development of our workforce and provides listings of jobs in the region
as offered by chamber members.
Join us in recognizing the past, present, and future of America’s workforce.
Labor Day was first celebrated on September 5, 1882. By 1894, 23 states adopted the holiday and in the same year, President Grover Cleveland made the first Monday in September a national holiday and is now a cornerstone of American culture.
This year, on Monday, September 2, we come together to celebrate the invaluable contributions and achievements of American workers. Their relentless efforts have shaped the nation’s work conditions, strength, excellence, commitment, and overall prosperity. This enduring spirit and dedication continue to evolve, driving progress and innovation in the 21st century.
In recognition of the 2024 Labor Day Holiday, the chamber will be
closed on Friday, August 30 and Monday, September 2.
We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3.
