Happy Holidays! Certainly 2016 was a wonderful year for economic and workforce development in Southwestern Illinois. While it seems impossible another year has already passed us by, the Leadership Council is very optimistic 2017 will be a great all around year for the business investment, job creation, and quality of life for our residents of Southwestern Illinois. The region has already received great news that U.S. Steel plans to call 220 laid-off employees back to work at its Granite City Works facility. We hope this is a positive sign of even more good news to come in our regional area.
